Congratulations to the Band on a great performance at the Sports Foundation Dinner on Saturday evening. The Band played for more than an hour and a half, entertaining the appreciative diners with a mix of jazz, funk and pop. The Band were joined by three vocalists at this annual event which last night was a fund raiser for the Rugby Team’s trip to South Africa this Summer.

The Band is give a concert at the world famous Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in Soho next year.
The concert is on Saturday March 5, from 1 - 3pm and will see the Band performing one of the most legendary stages in the world of music.
Tickets, strictly limited in number, will be available soon. Further details will follow.
The first public appearance of the Band is to be on Sunday 10 October at the Bull’s Head, Barnes, where the Band will be playing from 1 pm. Join us for a great afternoon out. We will also be using our new Band stands for the first time that day!

Well done to everyone for the appearances at Lords over the weekend and thanks for being so committed to the band. It was a pity that ‘rain stopped play’ on Saturday - not least as we didn’t get to hear the Young Drummer of the Year’! Not that we would want anyone else to play in the Band that our very own Martin!
I hope that everyone will try to keep their lips in now over the few weeks so that we can be at our best for the NFMY Final on 9 July
