The final concerts for the current Big Band line-up were a great success this week. Congratulations to the boys for their storming show at the Bull’s Head on Wednesday, at the School on Thursday and in Birmingham at the National Festival of Music For Youth on Friday. These performances mark the end of an era for the Band - the fourth generation has now left and we shall have to start building again with the new band in September.

Huge thanks are due the boys who are leaving (Andrew Baigey, Jack Collins, Emmett Cruddas, James D’Costa, Vincent Freely, Chris Kalcov, Matthew O’Keeffe, Matthew Liebeck, Martin Huynh, Oliver Greally). They have worked incredibly hard at their playing for many years and been wonderful ambassadors for the School on countless occasions. They have been a pleasure to work with and it has been an honour to lead the Band during their time in it.

The Band’s appearance at the Bull’s Head, Barnes on Sunday 22 March is to be recorded for a new DVD. The DVD will be available later in the year. Clips will be available on this site.

Congratulations to the Band for another excellent show at the Bull’s Head, Barnes, last weekend, following close on the heels of the wonderful appearance mid-week at the Royal Albert Hall. Pictures of this event will follow very shortly.

Now the chance to learn some new repertoire! Finally.

The first public appearance of the Band is to be on Sunday 10 October at the Bull’s Head, Barnes, where the Band will be playing from 1 pm. Join us for a great afternoon out. We will also be using our new Band stands for the first time that day!
